“Influences and Expressions” explores 3 compositions by brilliant composers Katahj Copley, Ksenija Komljenovic, and David Maslanka. Each work draws upon the background and inspirations of its composer, and employs winds and percussion in innovative and beautiful ways. Maslanka “Song Book for Flute and Wind Ensemble" features ATU Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Phoebe Robertson.
“Influences and Expressions” is the second major label release of the “Pat and Roger Wattam Archival Recording Series” at Arkansas Tech University. Generously founded and supported by Pat and Roger Wattam, the project has produced dozens of recordings of new and established wind band repertoire performed by the Arkansas Tech University Symphonic Wind Ensemble. In addition to the major label releases, the full library is available on the ATU Bands YouTube channel.
